A Challenge or Squadron Coin is a small coin or medallion issued by military organisations usually carrying their insignia or emblem. Traditionally, they are carried by the organization’s members to prove membership when challenged and to enhance morale. They are also collected by enthusiasts in the same way as squadron patches and crests.
