814 Naval Air Squadron (NAS) is part of the Royal Navy Fleet Air Arms. It’s known as the ‘The Flying Tigers’ due to its distinctive badge as can be seen on the front of this squadron coin I picked up from Nato Tiger Meet 2017 where the squadron had participated with their Merlin HM. MK2 helicopter. The squadron was formed in December 1938 and is based at RNAS Culdrose in Cornwall.
